Asian-Americans star in Tinseltown

There have been few Hollywood movies featuring a predominantly Asian-American cast, but August 2018 was historic as two such movies were released. They were “Crazy Rich Asians,” starring Constance Wu and Michelle Yeoh, and “Searching,” starring John Cho. Both are excellent films with positive reviews. We encourage you to see them if you have not.

Athletics, Student Life and the Alumni Association came together in honor of World Kindness Day on Nov.13. Book Club Recap

Our society members finished reading “Just Mercy” by Bryan Stevenson just in time to see him speak at the Ohio State event on Oct. 26 inside Mershon Auditorium.

Buckeyes After Work Recap

What a turnout! We joined fellow alumni societies for a great networking and beer tasting event on Oct. 25 at the Walrus. Hosted in partnership with the Ohio State Alumni Association, groups in attendance included the Black Alumni Society, LatinX Alumni Society and the Scarlet and Gay LGBTQ Alumni Society.

We held our first API Alumni Society event on Aug. 23 at the Pint House with about 20 people in attendance. A big thank you goes out to our generous partners for making our first event such a success!


The Asian & Pacific Islander Alumni Society is created March 25, 2017 by a group of dedicated Asian and Pacific Islanders who want to keep in touch with other Alumni and enhance the relationships both professionally and socially.
